I am the son of a teacher and a building manager, who taught me the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity. I came to Arizona to attend the University of Arizona, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Economics and was commissioned into the U.S. Army after the September 11th terrorist attacks. As a reconnaissance platoon leader and staff officer in the 82nd Airborne Division, I earned my airborne jump wings, Ranger tab, Combat Action Badge, and Expert Infantryman Badge, in addition to deployments to Iraq with Joint Special Operations Command.<img src="https://run.imgix.net/1e759ec9-a128-422f-9df6-efbf1de31f29/ea0162a5-5904-4e31-9b92-dd47c9627304/ea0162a5-5904-4e31-9b92-dd47c9627304.jpeg?ixlib=js-3.8.0&amp;bri=0&amp;con=0&amp;sat=0&amp;high=0&amp;shad=0&amp;usm=0&amp;rect=70%2C139%2C708%2C429&amp;w=1500" alt="" caption="" align="right" alignwidth="32" tiltdirection="left" variant="framed"><h3>Upon leaving active duty</h3>I returned to Illinois, where I earned master’s degrees from the University of Illinois Chicago and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, became a CPA, served as a Cavalry Troop Commander in the Illinois Army National Guard, and built a successful career in accounting. But after years in Illinois, Texas, and Florida, I knew Arizona was calling me home.

At Deloitte, I rose to senior manager, help growing a new office to more than 400 professionals and leading portfolios in financial services and gaming that contributed over $500 million in revenue — all while earning my Master’s in International Relations from Harvard University. At the same time, I continued serving in the Arizona Army National Guard, where I currently serve at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

That mindset has taken me to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, to the USA Triathlon National Championships, and into conversations with leaders at the local, state, national, and international levels — as well as astrophysicists, neuroscientists, AI researchers, and community leaders all working to make the world better.

Creating Safe Communities

My mother was a public school teacher for 30 years, and she taught me early on how important education is. I watched her spend her own money to give her students opportunities they otherwise would not have had, and that experience shaped my belief that Arizona must do more to support teachers, strengthen public schools, and ensure every child has access to a quality education.Arizona has consistently ranked near the bottom nationally in education funding, while billions of taxpayer dollars have been directed into a voucher system with no accountability, raising serious concerns about whether public resources are being used in ways that truly strengthen educational opportunity for all students.I believe families should have options, especially for students with specific needs, but Arizona must prioritize accountability and make sure public dollars are invested in ways that support students, teachers, and long-term educational success

All Arizonans deserve a quality education, but instead our republican state legislature wants to destroy public education while syphoning tax payer dollars to private schools with no accountability.

Arizona should be leading the way in attracting innovative industries, creating high-quality jobs, and building an economy that works for the future. That means investing in smart economic development, supporting local businesses, and making sure growth creates opportunity for communities across our state.

Arizona is growing rapidly, but Legislative District 13 needs leadership focused on making sure that growth benefits working families, strengthens our local economy, and creates opportunity for everyone.

Building A Stronger Economy

Supporting veterans means protecting the benefits, healthcare, and opportunities they earned through service, while ensuring Arizona honors that commitment with real action. Veterans should never have to fight unnecessary barriers to access the care and support they deserve.With more than 430,000 veterans living in Arizona, our state has a responsibility to strengthen services, expand opportunity, and protect the integrity of programs designed for those who served. Accountability matters, and public benefits meant for veterans must be protected for the men and women who earned them through sacrifice and service.After 20 years of military service, I believe Arizona should do more to stand with veterans and their families by making sure their service is respected, their needs are met, and their contributions are valued.

We must support veterans and ensure they have access to the benefits, healthcare, and opportunities they earned through service, while honoring the commitment they made to our country.
